Students in Post 16 have the opportunity to be part of the Sixth Form Leadership Team. Their responsibilities include attending weekly team meetings, helping with school events such as open nights, and supporting families and candidates with school tours. They are trained to support the lower school students with their learning too, which could involve being a reading mentor or helping students in the maths provisions. The head and deputy head students also organise monthly meetings with the school principal, where students can raise any issues and put forward ideas which will help improve their overall experience as a sixth form student.
2024-2025 Student Leadership Team
Our student leaders can work to their strengths and personal interests. The team this year have divided themselves into the following categories:
Events Managers– This group organise sixth form events
Sports Leaders– This group lead sporting tournaments
Fundraising Leaders– This group plan and lead sixth form fundraising events
Creatives– This group are actively involved in the marketing side of the events calendar. They create posters and flyers to advertise events and design and decorate the sixth form area ahead of events, such as Culture Day and leaving celebrations
Administrators– This group note take at meetings and are responsible for emailing the agenda to the leadership team ahead of meetings
