Christmas Candles!
Year 10 and 11 students, as part of their Life and Living qualification, have been enthusiastically leading an exciting enterprise project this term.
As part of the project, students researched products they could make and sell, carried out market research, and developed a thoughtful pricing strategy. They gathered the equipment and resources needed, created and refined their product designs, and even produced their own advertising campaign—including posters and promotional videos.
The final product is a range of beautifully crafted, Christmas-themed candles, and the response has already been fantastic with lots of orders coming in. To put their enterprise skills into action, the students will be visiting Leeds Deaf Club to sell their candles, as well as running a stall at the school’s Christmas Fayre for staff. This project has given the students a valuable opportunity to build confidence, creativity, and real-world business skills—all while spreading a bit of festive cheer!
All proceeds will be reinvested back into the Resourced Provision to provide enhanced experiences for the Deaf students who attend the Resourced Provision.
