Hanson Deaf Resourced Provision Students Shine in Basketball Sessions

Students in the Hanson Deaf Resourced Provision have been enjoying a fantastic opportunity this term: a series of dedicated basketball lessons led by a professional basketball player.

These sessions have been a great success, offering students the chance to develop not only their sporting ability but also a wide range of valuable skills. The coach has been working closely with the group to build confidence, improve motor skills, and introduce new techniques—all whilst keeping the sessions engaging and inclusive.

The lessons have quickly become a weekly favourite for many students, and the enthusiasm they bring to each session shows just how much they’re learning and enjoying the experience. The Hanson Deaf Resourced Provision is proud of the dedication and progress shown by everyone involved.

These sessions not only encourage physical fitness but also help students develop communication skills, resilience, and confidence—qualities that benefit them both in and out of school. Well done to all our young athletes for their fantastic effort!
