Theatre Visit
Fifteen students attended from Hanson Academy, alongside pupils from Grove House Primary School, and the visit ran smoothly throughout. Students were highly engaged and clearly enjoyed the experience.
We attended Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a high-energy and visually rich pantomime that brought a real sense of fairytale spectacle to the stage. The production was packed with traditional panto elements including music, humour, colourful costumes, audience participation, and clear storytelling. Large-scale set pieces, strong lighting effects, and dramatic moments such as the monster and helicopter scene created memorable highlights and worked particularly well in supporting understanding and engagement.
The cast delivered confident performances with strong singing and comic timing, and the balance of humour, music, and spectacle ensured the show was accessible and enjoyable for students of different ages and needs. Overall, it was a lively, inclusive production that kept students focused and entertained throughout.
Some feedback from the students:
- Hasan: “The singing was great and the helicopter and the monster were amazing.”
- Anaya: “I liked the performance. It was great.”
- Iman: “There were jokes and the jokes were funny.”
- Aiza: “I had a great day.”
Overall, the trip provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience a high-quality live performance in a supportive group setting and was a very positive shared experience for everyone involved.
