T20 Armed Forces Cricket @ “The Home of Cricket”

Yesterday, a number of our pupils were lucky enough to visit the ‘Home of Cricket’ and spectate the T20 Armed Forces Cricket event. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The day began with an early start, leaving our academy at 6:30am. A huge thank you to all parents/carers who supported with this. When we arrived, we were able to spectate UKAF Women vs MCC Women. This was a really entertaining game with some great cricket on show. Beyond this, pupils took part in numerous activities in the Engagement Village, where pupils could also get further information around potential careers within our military. Pupils were then able to spectate the RAF Marching Band which was exceptional. The final game of the evening was between the Royal Navy and British Army. There were numerous boundaries to cheer and congratulate the amazing standard of cricket on show.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Jason Robinson Foundation for providing this experience for our academy, this was certainly an experience no-one will ever forget!

Mr Hastie would also like to congratulate Hanson pupils for their amazing behaviour and manners throughout the day. We hope you had an enjoyable experience. Do not forget to get your Delta Pledges signed!
