On 21.10.24 14 students from the Deaf RP at Hanson attended a trip to Bolton Abbey. As part of the trip, we took part in a workshop led by staff members from the Education Team at Bolton Abbey. The students learnt how to read maps and what the different symbols on maps mean. We found various locations using maps on the grounds of Bolton Abbey. After this, the students had to use their map reading skills in an orienteering task around the ruins of Bolton Abbey. After the workshop, we enjoyed a walk along the river.
