Our Afternoon Tea

Students in Year 9 and 10 Resourced Provision for Deaf Students were treated to a luxury ‘Afternoon Tea’ experience. As part of our cross curricular learning, we combined our English lesson with a hospitality lesson. We considered the different foods you would expect to see and how these meet customers dietary and cultural requirements. We considered the ‘dining experience’ and the importance of presentation in food. We later looked at Trip Advisor reviews of Afternoon Teas and before writing our own reviews.

Our students certainly have high expectations!

“I like all the sandwiches, but the chicken was dry,” Henry.

“Clotted cream and scones are delicious,” Austeja.

“I wanted jam in my scone,” Karel.
