Mini London Marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust
At Hanson, we will be completing the Mini-London marathon and raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
•Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it.
•TCT has a specialist unit in almost every major NHS cancer treatment hospital across England.
•They fund expert nurses, Youth Support Coordinators and doctors to provide the very best care and support for young people facing cancer.
•They fund specialist outreach nurses who work regionally across the country.
Next week, in PE lessons, we will AIM to complete the Mini-London Marathon…2.6miles!!!
Students can run, jog, walk or wheel the distance!
To raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust:
We are asking students to try and collect sponsorship.
You can either:
1.Bring in cash on the day of your Mini-London Marathon and your PE teachers will collect this from you OR…
2.Donate money using the link on the MCAS app
If all of Year 7, 8 and 9 donate at least £1 we can raise nearly £800!! WOW!
Students will also gain pledge 9, “participate in a major fundraising event”, by taking part in the challenge and donating some money.
