Year 7 Residential

Our Year 7 students from the Resourced Provision for Deaf students took part in a residential trip to Kingswood. We spent two nights sleeping (almost) in bunk beds and challenging ourselves with activities to build our confidence, resilience and life skills. We climbed to new heights on the climbing wall, had a blast on the zipwire, completed the leap of faith, practised our target skills during archery and mastered some difficult problem-solving challenges, using teamwork and good communication. During the evenings we built a campfire and showed our dance moves during a DISCO!

During the residential, we made lasting friendships with other students; we encouraged and supported each other. The teachers particularly enjoyed watching students make their own beds, wash up and pack their own bags!

We arrived with clean and left covered in mud, but we were leaving with big smiles on our faces! A big thank you to all the staff and students. The behaviour was impeccable.

“Best trip” Ignas.

“I loved the zipwire, but the leap of faith was scary” Dominik.

“I have never done archery before!” Erkan (Group One Archery Champion)
