Year 7 Ski / Snowboarding Lessons

We are delighted to offer Year 7 students the opportunity to learn a new sport as part of our extra-curricular offering this academic year. Students will have the opportunity to participate in ski or snowboarding lessons at X-scape, Castleford. This will take place once per week, for two hours, over a 3-week period. Students will be accompanied by school staff and will be taught by advanced ski and snowboard instructors.

Included in the cost of the activity is:

  • Return transport to Xscape from Hanson Academy and back
  • Ski/ Snowboard rental
  • Boot rental
  • Helmet rental
  • 6 hours of ski/snowboard lessons with advanced instructor

There will be a cost to the activity, but this will be subsidised by the school as part of the rewards scheme. Total cost of the activity will be shared once we have accumulated the number of students interested. To register your child’s interest, please complete the signed letter below to Miss Elford (PE).
