Course Introduction: The Pearson Level 2 Public Services qualification provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed for a career in the public services sector. This comprehensive course covers a range of topics, including employment in uniformed services, health and fitness requirements, navigation skills, the impact of law, crime and its societal effects, community and cultural awareness, emergency response, security procedures, and cyber security. Designed to align with employer expectations, it combines both mandatory and optional units to ensure students are well-prepared for job applications or further study on level 3 pathway. Additionally, the course emphasizes the development of essential transferable skills such as communication, professional behaviour, reflective practice, and interview preparation, paving the way for future success in the public services field.
