Mark Holstead

Mark started his career at Hanson as a Learning Support Assistant initially in the ARC Provision working with the Hearing-Impaired students before moving on to working closely with EHCP and SEND students across all year groups.

Mark then progressed on to the role of Assistant Head of Year working across Years 9,10 and 11.  He then applied for the role of KS3 Pastoral Progress Manager responsible for Years 7 and 8, before transitioning into the role of Year Manager for Year 8 then into Year 9 and 10.

Through academisation with Delta his role changed to become a Learning Manager remaining with Years 8 and Year 9.  Mark briefly left the trust to take up a similar role at another school before returning to Hanson as an Attendance Co-ordinator.  He recently returned to the Learning Manager role at the Academy with Year 8.

Mark has a range of leisure interests outside of school including coaching Junior and Semi Pro Football for over 20 years, managing various age groups.  He has also held Club Secretary roles at Eccleshill United and Thackley, local semi pro sides.  Mark has also attained UEFA B licence coaching qualification alongside level 1 and 2 football coaching qualifications.
