Year 10 and 11 Visit to Shipley College – Preparing for the Future!

Year 10 and 11 students recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to Shipley College.

As part of their travel training, the group travelled by bus, helping them build confidence and independence when navigating their local community.

Once at the college, the students were given a guided tour and had the chance to explore the campus’s exceptional facilities. They also learned about the wide range of courses available and the support that deaf students are entitled to, ensuring that they feel informed about their future options.

The visit encouraged students to think about their preparation for adulthood and life beyond Hanson Academy, making it a valuable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
