Amy Brierley
Head of Geography
Amy’s teaching career started in Calderdale, here she completed her teacher training and NQT year at a local comprehensive academy.
Amy then moved to a school in Pudsey to fulfil the role of ‘Teacher of Geography’. She worked in Pudsey as a Teacher of Geography for 4 years, developing her skills as a classroom practitioner and leader by taking on the following additional teaching and learning responsibilities; ‘KS3 Co-ordinator’ and ‘Head of House’. With the ambition to progress her career, Amy joined Hanson in 2022 as Head of Geography. She has enjoyed her time at Hanson so far and is looking forward to continuing to raise the profile of Geography and student outcomes within the department.
