Staff Announcements and Successes

The Local Authority Led Resourced Provision (LARP) based at Hanson Delta Academy are extremely pleased to announce that following being shortlisted, alongside three other local provisions, for ‘Specialist School Provision of the Year’ went on to be selected as winners by ‘24hrHealthcare’ who sponsored the award.   

Karen Turner, Deaf and MSI Children’s Service Manager, and leaders of the provision are very proud of the whole team at Hanson’s LARP.  

The rationale for winning the award was featured in the Telegraph and Argus: 

The Local Authority Led Resourced Provision for the Deaf has been informed that they have been shortlisted as finalists, along with two other local provisions, for Specialist Provision of the Year 2025. ​

The awards ceremony is to be held at The Cedar Court Hotel on Thursday 3rd April 2025. ​

​This is testament to a hardworking, highly skilled and experienced team working in effective partnership with a fantastic Delta school.

The Deaf LARP would like to proudly announce that Francis Fjodorovs, our apprentice Deaf Instructor and former student, became a finalist and won the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ category at a widely attended awards evening on 23^rd January 2025.  Well done Francis!
