Hanson Academy Students Shine at King’s Trust Enterprise Regional Final
Back in January, a team of Hanson Academy students, Ben, Haikam, Will and Ehsan, achieved outstanding success in the Hanson Academy Enterprise Challenge, delivered through The King’s Trust. Their innovative business idea, Smooth Smoothies, impressed the business volunteers and their high score in the business simulation game secured them first place in the school competition.
Following their win, the team progressed to the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Final, where they were selected as one of the top six teams in the region – an incredible achievement in itself.
At the regional final on Tuesday, the students confidently delivered their business pitch to a panel of judges, demonstrating not only their entrepreneurial skills but also their teamwork, creativity and professionalism. Although they did not place in the top three, their efforts and performance were nothing short of exceptional, and they represented Hanson Academy with pride.
The experience offered more than just competition – The students also enjoyed a tour of Headingley Stadium, gaining insight into one of the region’s most iconic sporting venues. A particular highlight of the day was meeting rugby league legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who delivered an inspiring guest speech about resilience, teamwork and achieving success.
We are incredibly proud of Ben, Haikam, Will and Ehsan for their dedication and achievements. Reaching the regional final is a testament to their hard work and determination, and they have set a fantastic example for other students to follow.
Congratulations to the team on this remarkable accomplishment!
